Meet Our Founder: Prem Kumar Danuwar
Prem Kumar Danuwar is a Nepalese tourism entrepreneur, travel professional, and aviation and tourism educator with a strong passion for creating meaningful travel experiences and contributing to the growth of Nepal’s tourism industry.
His journey in the travel and tourism sector led to his association with Simsime Travels & Tours Pvt. Ltd., a Kathmandu-based travel company established in 2017. Under his business leadership and vision, Simsime has been associated with a range of travel services, including domestic and international air-ticketing, tour packages, trekking, hiking, cultural experiences, photography tours, rafting, educational tours, festive tours, and travel-related services.
For Danuwar, tourism is more than simply moving people from one destination to another. He has emphasized the importance of responsible tourism, authentic experiences, personalized travel planning, and creating positive impacts on local communities and destinations. His approach encourages travelers to experience Nepal while also respecting its culture, environment, people, and natural heritage.
Beyond his involvement in the travel sector, Danuwar is also associated with the Institute for Aviation and Tourism Skills (IATS), where he serves as Managing Director. Through his work in tourism and education, he has contributed to developing knowledge and skills among people entering Nepal’s aviation and tourism industries.
His professional involvement also extends to Nepal's wider tourism community. He has participated in industry organizations and was elected to the executive committee of the Society of Travel & Tour Operators Nepal (SOTTO-Nepal) for the 2025–2027 term.
His Vision
Danuwar believes that the future of travel lies in moving beyond conventional ticketing and standardized packages toward consultative, personalized, knowledge-driven and experience-focused travel services.
His vision is centered on connecting travelers with Nepal in a way that creates lasting memories while encouraging responsible interaction with local communities, cultures and the environment.
